About Jumbo

Jumbo is the largest retailer for toys, children products and interior decoration in Greece, covering an affordable price segment. It operates a total of 64 stores, of which 51 in Greece, three in Cyprus, eight in Bulgaria. The Greek retailer of toys will open another three stores this year in Romania, in Arad, Ploiesti and Pitesti, in addition to those in Bucharest and Timisoara and Oradea, and will thus reach a network of seven stores on the local market, with sales of nearly 9 million euros in fiscal year 2013/2014.

The client's need and the solution offered by RBC specialists

To respond to the specific business needs of Jumbo, RBC team implemented a complete POS solution and tax advisory services regarding the compatibility of the Greek sales application with the Romanian tax law. With extensive experience in approving applications, RBC specialists have modified the client application, tested and validated the application with the Ministry of Finance. RBC also offers post-installation maintenance.

All Jumbo stores are equipped with Wincor-Nixorf equipment. The successful collaboration with Wincor as well as the high quality RBC services were key factors in choosing RBC as a trusted partner in this project. Jumbo owns a sales application in Greece, which was certified in Romania with the Wincor-Nixdorf printer. Although the time allocated to the approval of the application was ambitious, thanks to the efforts of both parties and the professionalism of RBC consultants, the opening of the first store in Bucharest was achieved earlier than the initial date. The shop has an area of 14,500 sqm and it is developed on two levels.
